Connect Repetier Server to Klipper firmware

Is it possible to connect the Repetier Server to a Klipper firmware? 
Short description:
"Klipper is a new experimental firmware! It is designed to run on both a micro-controller and a low cost host computer such as a Raspberry Pi. The host does all the work of determining how and when to move each stepper motor, it compresses that information, and sends it to the micro-controller. The micro-controller then uncompresses the given schedule and executes it at the specified times. The same host computer can be used to run both Klipper and OctoPrint."

I succesfully run it with OctoPrint but Repetier Server has much much better Touch UI and many other nice features.

In OctoPrint I added specific serial port in "Additional serial ports" section - named /tmp/printer. And OctoPrint "talks" to the firmware through it.

I asked the developer of Klipper to integrate it with Repetier and he answered me next:
"In order to replace OctoPrint, you'll need to convince the Repetier Server software to connect to /tmp/printer. (Only the Klipper host software talks directly with the micro-controller - Repetier Server needs to talk directly with the Klipper host software via /tmp/printer.)"
I tried manually change the Device / Port in connection tab to /tmp/printer but the Repetier Server didn't connect it.

May you suggest me what can I do to fix it.
I would like to combine two great products :)

Hallo Leute Ich habe da ein Problem an dem ich so langsam verzweifle.

Habe vor zirka einer Woche einen neuen Rapetier Server auf einem Raspberry Pi 3 aufgesetzt und zuerst zwei Drucker mit Webcam daran betrieben was nicht so ganz funktionierte da beide Drucker während des Druckens einfach stehen geblieben sind.

Dann dachte ich mir versuchst du es mal nur mit einem Drucker aber auch das ging in die Hose Drucker blieb einfach während des Drucks stehen.

Dann ging ich nach dem Ausschlussverfahren auf die Fehler suche dabei wurde getauscht …. Raspberry Pi Netzteil auf 3A, USB Kabel zum Drucker, Micro SD um Fehler auszuschließen.

Auch der versuch den Pi Kernel du wechseln hat nichts geholfen.

Sobald ich einen druck anschmeiße bricht er irgendwann die Verbindung zum Drucker ab und so langsam gehen mir die Ideen aus.

Mehrere Drucker An/Aus schalten

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe 4 Drucker hier, die ich gerne alle über einen Pi 3 B+ steuern würde.
Repetier Server unterstützt in der Pro Version, wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe mehrere Drucker.

Ist es auch möglich 433mhz Funksteckdosen zu schalten?

Jetzt stellt sich nur die Frage, wie ich vorgehen muss, damit ich alle 4 Drucker über je eine Steckdose an, bzw. aus schalten kann

Connection-Timeouts nach langen drucken

Moin,
mir ist aufgefallen das lange Drucke dazu führen das Repetier die "Verbindung" zum Drucker verliert. Lustiger weise verliert er sie nicht richtig. Ich kriege nach wie vor Daten, seien es Temperaturmeldungen in der Konsole oder Rückmeldungen von Flow/Lüfter/Temperaturen im oberen Bereich.

Habs bisher bei Drucken über 6 Stunden festgestellt. In der Anzeige zeigt er mir an das noch ein paar Sekunden Restzeit sind (99,XX%). Der Druck steht aber schon seit Stunden fertig da und auch das Endscript wurde ausgeführt, nur die Software beendet den Druck scheinbar nicht. Im Terminal stehen dann ettliche Connection-Timeouts.

Die Drucker-Steuerung geht dann nicht mehr und zwar solange bis ich meinen Microserver neustarte auf dem Repetier läuft (Gelegentlich reagiert nach 20-30s auf Befehle, drucken geht aber nicht mehr). Egal wie oft ich den Drucker neustarte. Auch erneuter Marlin-Flash hat nichts gebracht. Das Problem tritt bei bisher bei meinen Melzi Druckern auf (Ender2/Ender3), am Tornado mit Duetwifi hab ichs noch nicht getestet.

Sieht für mich stark nach nem Software Problem aus da ich egal was mit dem Drucker machen kann, lediglich neustart des Servers behebt das Problem. Ist aber keine Lösung da ich keine neustarts machen kann während andere Drucker noch am drucken sind.

Hello. I'm having trouble getting an image. I used the instruction https://www.repetier-server.com/setting-webcam-repetier-server-linux/ but gives an error. How can I fix this?

Connection lost

Keep getting connection lost.  Oops I lost my connection to the server.  trying to reconnect message after my print starts.  The print continues to run but the message never goes away and prevents me from doing anything else.  I still see the ETA and ETE matching the time on the server so they are definitely communicating but message never goes away and since there are no buttons on the message there is no way to dismiss it.  Not sure what will happen if I try refreshing the page while the print is still going on (Maybe print will get cancelled/paused?)

I have an Ultimaker 2 printer with the Marlin firmware. From the printer menu, I can control the light, tell me how to make the Light button work in the Repetier Server interface? I know which pin on the board Mega is responsible for the light.

Printing suddenly interrupts at the end, the printer makes terrible sounds. When printing from the SD card, everything is OK.
To stop the terrible sounds you have to turn off the printer.


I attached the last log 3 minutes of printing and the server log. Help me please. This is the third fingerprint that ends in an accident. But some models are pre-printed well.

Repetier-Server hängt sich auf

Hallo,
in den letzten Tagen passiert es häufiger, dass das Display am Repetier-Server selbst den Verlust der Verbindung zum Repetier-Server verloren hat. Die Meldung ist merkwürdig, da es ja dierekt auf dem Pi gemeldet wird, auf dem die Software läuft. Teilweise ist der Mauscursor dann sehr träge, oder der Server hängt sich komplett auff und lässt sich nicht mehr bedienen. Besonders ärgerlich da es auch mitten im Druck passiert. Es hat also nichts mit USB-Kabel usw. zu tun, was zum Abhängen des Druckers führt.

Webcam error

Hi,

I assigned 1 webcam. I can connect to the mjepg streamer without any problems.
In the UI of rep-server I got the disconnected webcam icon.

Why? The mjepg streamer runs without any problems.

Moving from RPi3 B to B+

Hi,

This might be a very stupid question, but I couldn't find any info on it in the forum or after googling.

I'm currently running Repetier-Server on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and have just bought the new Model B+. Can I just move my SD-card from the old Pi to the new and everything will work as before? Or do I have to do a new install and transfer settings on some way?

2 Extruder - Absturz

Hi,

ich nutze Marlin 1.18 am JGAurora A5.

Ich hab in der FW nun einen zweiten Extruder akitivert.

Sobald ich in der Konsole T1 mache (Befehl für den Wechsel), dann stürtzt der Server halb ab.
Unter dem Reiter Steuerung wird nichts mehr angezeigt.

Braucht ihr noch weitere logs?

Does repetier server has a vertical screen setup, for an image on RPi 3 B.
Display: Raspberry pi foundation 7" display, 
RPi: Raspberry Pi 3 B
Repetier Server: Image V8 with Repetier-Server 0.86.2 for Raspberry Pi

I am aware of raspberry pi setting to rotate screen, but once switched part the server touch icons go off screen, it does not adjust to vertical setting...

any thoughts?

Extrusion issue

If i reset the printer and i don't home all axis when i click to the extrude section instead of extruding Z moves.
Tested with Repetier and MK4Duo firmware, same issue, see the video.
Server version 0.82.6.

Intended filament change procedure mid print

Hi, I have a self made cartesian printer using repetier firmware V1.0 and - since two months- server pro V0.86 with touch UI.

Recently mid print the spool ran out of filament and I just tried "filament change" at the UI to see what happens.

It did not work properly, and after Emergency stop the print head crashed into Y max (why this??).   

In documentation and forum I did not find the planned process for
filament change due to "spool ran out of filament mid print".

Is it necessary to pause at first, including pause script defining a xy position for performing the filament change?
Then perform filament change with UI?
Then resuming (how is the old extrusion position from the last regular move restored?)

I would be happy to get any hints where this filament change scenario is described using the touch UI.

Repetier-Host not connecting to Server

I'm pulling my hair out. For some reason my PC (running Repetier-Host) does not "see" the Server anymore. It use to but then the server restarted and the received a new IP addr via DHCP (du, not so clever on my side I know). I now have fixed the IP on the router so that it gets assigned the same IP address every time. However I have lost the connection to the server and I cannot get it back.
I Start the server.
Then go to the host and try to connect using Chrome typing the IP address if the server (192.168.0.100:3344) which is also the IP address displayed on the printer screen. but the "webpage" just times out without connecting me.
Also tried connecting with Host (printersetup) selecting Repetier host and typing in the IP address.... Nothing no connection
Some more info....
Yes I CAN PING the server from the Host mashine - so the network is working
The server IS running since I can Run Repetier Host on the server machine and connect to the printer via the Server.
The Server machine is running Win10 - Fairly clean install
Both machines is on Physical cable.

I'm really clueless on what more to try. 
As a sidenote,
1. Somehow I also cannot connect to the server machine via the host machine using Remote desktop, Tried everything I can think of.
2. The Server PC simply refuses to have a fixed IP address. If I switch DHCP off in network settings and assign a IP address to it, it refuses to connect to the internet. - The way around that was to tell the Router to assign the same IP every time to that MAC address, then it happily connects to Internet
I'm fairly certain its a Windows Network setting but I dont know where else to scratch.

Anyone PLEASE help?

Hello, i need fixed IP-adresses on repetier-server 0.86.2 for LAN and WLAN on my Raspberry PI 3B+.
I tried some changes, i found on internet, but this does not work.

I need a step by step guide, because i don't know linux.
some one here who can help?

Print doesn't start with Ultimaker 2+ Ex

Hi,
I was able to establish a connection between repetier on a Pi3 and the Ultimaker 2+ Ex. I was able to see the temperature and to move the extruder. But when I tried to start a print, nothing happend.

The console gave me that:
Warning: Communication timeout - resetting communication buffer.

My settings:
baud: 250000
firmware: Marlin
